The majority of metal-bearing ores are mined outside the UK, which means that metals are already energy intensive before they are manufactured into products.
Metals can be melted down and used repeatedly, reducing dependence on natural resources, cutting CO2 emissions and air and water pollution.

- Cars, trains and aeroplanes
- Bikes
- Cans
