Shanks’ Contribution
Shanks provides treatment for over 1 mtpa of organic waste including garden waste, food waste and Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) through a network of organic waste treatment plants including Open Windrow Composting (OWC), In Vessel Composting (IVC), Mechanical Biological Treatment (MBT) and AD in the UK, Holland, Belgium and Canada.
Shanks have extensive experience in designing, constructing and operating organic waste treatment plants including:

· Dry anaerobic digestion (AD-dry);
· Wet anaerobic digestion (AD-wet); and
· Mechanical and Biological Treatment (MBT).
To deliver this package Shanks is using in house experience and knowledge gained from operating successfully in different countries to develop shanks.orgaworld in the UK. Shanks.orgaworld will develop and operate IVC and AD plants across the UK to support commercial and municipal customers.
