Southern Resource Park

The South Cumbria Resource Park is situated approximately 2km north of Barrow. Once finished, it will occupy some 2.5 hectares of land off Bouthwood Road on Sowerby Woods Industrial Estate. The resource park will comprise of the following:

  • Mechanical Biological Treatment (MBT) plant, for processing up to 75,000 tonnes of residual waste per year, incorporating Ecodeco technology.
  • 2 weighbridges
  • A single storey office building
  • Recyclate storage building
